Thanks Alessio! Where did you develop and test this? On DAS-6 I get RuntimeError: CUDA Runtime error: cudaErrorInsufficientDriver

Right, now I get it. The cuda-python major version 13.x.y needs to match the CUDA version installed on the system. My laptop and the DAS-6 (at least both Leiden and the VU) are still on CUDA 12.x.

Yes, you need to install the cuda-python that matches the installed driver, it took me a while to find out the right combination on DAS-6 VU :)

I tested this yesterday on the DAS-6 at Astron, which have a new enough driver to run cuda-python13. It would be great if you could make it backwards compatible with cuda-python12. Would that be possible @isazi ?
